‘Psycho’ to vie at Montecatini filmfest

Iranian short ‘Psycho’ has made its way to the Montecatini International Short Film Festival in Italy.

Mostafa Davtalab’s ‘Psycho’ will be screened at Iranian Cinema special section of the event.

The 14-minute ‘Psycho’ is about a young woman and a patient with a psychiatric disorder - who take a taxi to a psychiatric hospital.

On the way to the hospital, a serious betrayal conflict happens between the two that puts the driver in a maniac state.

Reza Amouzad, Roya Hosseini and Mohammad Nariman make the cast team of the short flick.

Previously, ‘Psycho’ competed at the Under the Moon International Film Festival (Islantilla Cinefórum) and the Riurau Int’l Short Film Festival, both in Spain.

The Montecatini International Short Film Festival is one of the most representative Italian film festivals.

In recent years, the Festival, in addition to the International Competition, has created a platform and a permanent Showcase of the authors.

The 73rd edition of the event is scheduled for November 2-6, 2022.
